An impressive financial services business is looking to hire an Cyber Security Analyst to support this team with the compliance and security the business’ digital activities. This business is going through a big technology transformation programme that is estimated to take 3 -5 years. The successful Cyber Security Analyst will be part of this journey and have great technical exposure and the ability to rapidly progress. The Cyber team in this business will also be pivotal in raising security awareness within the business.

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful Cyber Security Analyst will:
- Be responsible for triaging and prioritising identified vulnerabilities based on risk potential and impact
- Run the first line review of vulnerabilities and escalate as appropriate to other security teams or dev teams
- Identify repeated tasks and look at developing automation tools/solutions to reduce response times
- Research the emerging security threats and discuss risks to applications and changes
- Ensure that the service are complying with policies and standards for both internal and external audits and frameworks
- Collaborate with the wider business to improve security awareness and organisational security hygiene
Cyber Security Analyst – Your Background
The ideal Cyber Security Analyst will have:
- At least 3 years of Cybersecurity experience in either application security or vulnerability management or a similar role
- Proficiency in vulnerability management tools
- Proven experience of working in a cybersecurity team
- Experience in automating security tasks
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and compliance requirements
- Exceptional teamworking skills and the ability to work with stakeholders outside of the security team
- Strong experiences of working in adherence to access control values including RBAC and least privilege access
- Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks eg GDPR, NIST, ISO
- Extremely strong people skills as this role will be working across a variety of business functions.
