Location: Central London (hybrid – 1 day a week maximum)

Spencer Rose are seeking an experienced PMO/Programme Manager for a 6 month contract within a financial services organisation based in Central London. This is a senior, hands-on role requiring strong governance capability and the confidence to operate at Board level.
You will be responsible for strengthening programme governance, challenging Project and Programme Managers on risk, dependencies, and resourcing, and producing high-quality Board packs that provide insight rather than status updates. The role includes oversight of FX-related programmes operating under close regulatory scrutiny.
Key requirements:
- Strong background in PMO or Programme Management within financial services
- Proven experience managing FX programmes in a regulated environment
- Confident challenging senior stakeholders with credibility and judgement
- Excellent governance, RAID and Board reporting experience
- Gravitas to engage beyond delivery and influence strategic outcomes
This role suits someone who thrives in complex, regulated environments and is comfortable balancing delivery oversight with senior-level challenge and assurance.
