On behalf of our client, a Global Leading financial services organisation, I am seeking a Director, Business Continuity. As Director of Business Continuity, you will support the delivery of an industry-leading resilience programme, helping to ensure critical business services remain robust, effective and resilient in an increasingly complex regulatory and operational environment. Working closely with senior executives, regulators and stakeholders across the organisation, you will help drive the next phase of enterprise resilience maturity.
This role requires a strategic thinker with the credibility and experience to influence at Executive and C-Suite level, lead enterprise-wide change initiatives and develop innovative resilience solutions that balance service excellence, risk management and business objectives.
Candidates must be available to start immediately/on a maximum of 1 week notice.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery and continual enhancement of the Enterprise Continuity Programme.
- Identify and define critical business services and associated impact tolerances.
- Lead business service mapping and resilience scenario testing activities to identify vulnerabilities and improvement opportunities.
- Design and deliver resilience tooling, reporting and executive dashboarding capabilities.
- Drive organisation-wide resilience improvement initiatives and transformation programmes.
- Enhance and modernise Business Continuity Management (BCM) capabilities and frameworks.
- Develop and deliver resilience training, exercising and testing programmes.
- Prepare materials and reporting for governance committees and senior leadership forums.
- Support the management of operational risk, controls and resilience governance activities.
- Lead strategic Business Impact Analysis (BIA) activities across operational assets and services.
- Participate in enterprise-level continuity planning for strategic and existential threats, including cyber events, pandemics and major business disruptions.
- Improve the effectiveness and value of resilience data, mapping and supporting technologies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, executive management, regulators and industry bodies.
Experience/Skills required:
- Extensive experience delivering industry-leading Operational Resilience and/or Enterprise Continuity programmes within Global Systemically Important Banks (GSIBs), Financial Market Infrastructures (FMIs) or similarly complex organisations.
- Strong expertise in business process mapping and management information reporting.
- Experience designing and implementing resilience metrics, KPIs, reporting and executive dashboards.
- Hands-on experience with Fusion Risk Management.
- Deep understanding of technology, third-party, facilities and people risk management.
- Proven experience designing and leading resilience scenario testing, vulnerability assessments and remediation programmes.
- Strong regulatory engagement experience, including interactions with domestic and international regulators.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change at Executive and C-Suite level.
- Experience leading complex enterprise transformation and change initiatives.
- Knowledge of strategic continuity planning across cyber security, resolution planning, pandemic response and business transformation.
- Strong operational risk management expertise, particularly within resilience frameworks.
- Good understanding of FX markets, products, services and supporting infrastructure.
- Experience delivering cross-functional programmes spanning technology, operations, cyber, risk and third-party management.
