Salary – 500 per day (Inside IR35)
6 month initial contract (Possibility to extend)
Hybrid working – 2 day’s per week in the office
Spencer Rose are partnered with a leading Financial Services organisation who are currently looking for a Application Support Specialist on contract to provide 2nd and 3rd line production operational support across their core business systems. Within this role, the Application Support Specialist will take a lead role influencing the delivery of application releases for major project and programs.
The Application Support Specialist will have the following responsibilities –
- Provide support remotely and onsite to business critical applications and 3rd Party vendor packages through Dev, User Acceptance Testing and Product.
- Identify and Investigate weaknesses where you will work with the development team and external vendors to identify workarounds and support any fixes that are required as part of service improvement.
- Implement changes or fixes to applications
The Application Support Specialist will have the following skills/experience –
- Extensive experience supporting production applications in an enterprise Microsoft Windows environment
- Prior working knowledge of SQL database and network configuration
- Scripting knowledge in languages such as PowerShell, VBScript, JavaScript and SQL
