We are seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Analyst to join our cyber security function within a regulated financial services environment. This role is suited to an experienced intelligence professional with strong analytical skills and hands-on experience applying Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance cyber threat intelligence capabilities.

You will support the protection of critical financial systems, data, and services by delivering high-quality, actionable threat intelligence and responsibly leveraging AI-driven techniques to improve insight, efficiency, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver timely and accurate cyber threat intelligence to support fraud prevention, security operations, operational resilience, and risk management
  • Analyse threat actor activity, campaigns, TTPs, and vulnerabilities relevant to financial services (eg ransomware, insider threat, supply chain, fraud-linked cybercrime)
  • Apply Large Language Models to:
    • Automate and enhance threat intelligence ingestion, enrichment, and analysis
    • Support rapid summarisation and contextualisation of threat reporting
    • Improve classification and prioritisation of threats affecting regulated financial environments
  • Translate intelligence into clear risk-focused messaging for technical teams, senior management, and governance forums
  • Support regulatory and compliance objectives, including demonstrating appropriate threat awareness and controls
  • Work closely with SOC, Fraud, IT Risk, Risk & Compliance, and Technology teams to ensure intelligence is operationalised
  • Ensure AI and LLM use aligns with internal governance, model risk management, data protection, and ethical frameworks

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence within financial services, regulated environments, or other high-risk sectors
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Cybercrime and nation-state threats impacting financial institutions
    • The intelligence life cycle and analytical tradecraft
    • Frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK
  • Practical experience using Large Language Models, including:
    • Prompt engineering and evaluation of outputs
    • Using LLMs for text analysis, summarisation, classification, or data enrichment
    • Working with enterprise platforms or APIs (eg Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or approved internal models)
  • Ability to articulate cyber threat intelligence in a business and risk-focused context
  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience producing intelligence reports for senior stakeholders

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of financial services regulatory environments (eg FCA, PRA, operational resilience)
  • Experience with fraud-related threat intelligence or cyber-enabled financial crime
  • Python or Scripting experience for automation and data analysis
  • Familiarity with SIEM, SOAR, or Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs)
  • Understanding of model risk management, AI governance, or secure AI deployment
  • Relevant certifications (eg GCTI, CISSP, GIAC, or similar)
