City of London (hybrid)
£135,000 – £155,000 per annum + annual discretionary bonus
On behalf of City of London based investment bank, I am seeking an experienced Data Architect to define and deliver the enterprise data strategy, ensuring data is secure, accessible, and aligned with business objectives. The role works closely with business and technology stakeholders to design scalable data solutions and drive data governance across the organisation.
The organisation is pleased to offer the role on a hybrid working basis; therefore, you must be within reasonable commuting distance of London and be happy to commit to 3 days per week at their offices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture and roadmap.
- Define data models, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Design data solutions across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Support data warehousing, integration, analytics, and reporting initiatives.
- Provide architectural guidance on strategic technology and transformation programmes.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to maximise the value of organisational data.
Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience in Data Architecture within financial services, investment banking, or capital markets.
- Strong knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data governance.
- Experience with cloud data platforms and enterprise data ecosystems.
- Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, data lakes, and analytics platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
