My client, a purpose-driven organisation renowned for delivering exceptional customer experiences, are looking for an experienced Datawarehouse Quality Engineer to join their customer-focused Data & Analytics team. You will work closely with Data Engineers in a multi-disciplinary environment, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency across reporting solutions and data pipelines.
This is a hands-on role, with responsibility for testing complex ETL/ELT processes, validating business rules, developing SQL-based regression packs, and supporting automation of data testing processes. You will help the team deliver reliable, insight-driven data solutions that drive strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute tests across Snowflake and Oracle data warehouses/lakehouses.
- Reconcile source and target data, ensuring facts, dimensions, and reports are fully validated.
- Support SQL/ETL test automation and regression packs.
- Review acceptance criteria and collaborate with business users to ensure feature sign-off.
- Contribute to improving test processes, CI/CD pipelines, and data quality practices.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions meet technical and business requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Advanced SQL skills for data reconciliation and validating business rules.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Oracle, as well as PostgreSQL/DBeaver/SQL Developer.
- Experience with ETL tools such as ODI.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, star schema, dimensional modelling, facts, and dimensions.
- Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or OAS.
- Familiarity with AWS services (S3, Lambda, SageMaker, Step Functions) is desirable.
- Python Scripting knowledge is a plus.
- Agile/Scrum experience and the ability to manage multiple test activities simultaneously.
