Finance Systems Analyst

Business Analyst

London

Up to £75,000

I’m working with a London-based insurance group that’s growing quickly and looking for someone who can bridge the gap between finance and technology. They need a Finance Systems Analyst who understands the numbers but is just as comfortable digging into SQL and fixing data or reporting issues.

This would suit someone who’s either part qualified or qualified (ACA or ACCA), or maybe started out in accounting before moving into a more technical, data-focused role. You’ll be working closely with both the finance and IT teams, making sure data flows correctly, reports are accurate, and systems are running efficiently.

Day to day, you’ll be improving financial reporting systems, writing and tuning SQL queries, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and helping the team with any data or reporting challenges. You’ll also get involved in system upgrades, testing, and data migrations, with plenty of exposure across the business.

They’re looking for someone who:

Any experience within insurance or financial services would be helpful, and if you’ve worked with Power BI, Power Platform, or Azure SQL, that’s a plus.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with data, and improving the way finance systems run. It’s a small, hands-on team where you’ll have real influence and the chance to shape how things are done as the business grows.

If that sounds like you, I’d be happy to talk through it in more detail.
