Spencer Rose are looking for a Head of Business Intelligence for our client who operates as a leading global (re) Insurer. The role is responsible for leading the Business Management Information (BMI) function in London. This will involve working with senior stakeholders delivering enhanced BI capabilities to the legal entities, enabling improved business performance across all areas of the insurance value chain.
The Head of Business Intelligence Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a BI strategy and Operating model to enable the function to deliver enhanced BI to support the businesses
- Operate as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders across the business by delivering trusted, insightful, accurate and timely BI
- Lead a team of 15 BI professionals to deliver a best in class service offering to our clients
- Enhance the control framework throughout the entire BI process to ensure the rigour, accuracy and veracity of the data assets
- Develop trusted data sets to drive consolidation of reporting platforms and tools and simplify the reporting landscape
The Head of Business Intelligence Skills:
- Experience in leading Business Intelligence functions in the Commercial insurance/reinsurance industry
- Recognised subject matter expertise in business intelligence, be able to grow, develop, coach and mentor the existing team
- Experience developing data, BI and team strategy, planning technology and product roadmaps, managing budgets and external partners, and building awareness of the BI agenda internally and externally
- Strong knowledge of the Commercial Insurance market
- A credible, commercial, action-oriented professional, who can work independently at a senior level to credibly engage key business leaders
- Have the ability to deal with complex technical concepts and the ability to successfully translate their ideas to executive and nontechnical audiences, achieving delivery of key strategic outcomes
