Location: London, Hybrid.

Description:
Spencer Rose are looking for a Lead Analyst to join our client’s Portfolio Profitability Modelling (PPM) team which operates as the centre of excellence for modelling capability for profitability and pricing. This role will drive the team forward in designing, developing, and maintaining profitability & pricing models and tracking tools. You will work across the entire business with key stakeholders in Finance, Cards & Loans Product, Credit Risk, and Data & Analytics.
The PPM team sits alongside Decision & Data Science, providing a consolidated and specialist financial and statistical modelling capability.
The Lead Analyst will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, innovation, and maintenance of our profitability & pricing models and tracking tools
- Support teams around the business in a wide range of profitability analysis
- Place strong and robust controls and automation around everything you do
- Ensure all models in operation are fit for purpose through the development of dynamic model monitoring suites, and recalibrate or redevelop these models when necessary
- Coach junior team members
The Lead Analyst will have the following skillset:
Experience developing NPV/profitability/pricing/financial models in SAS/SQL/Excel, with an understanding and appreciation of the purpose, design, mechanics and outputs
Experienced with SAS, SQL or Python; confident developing code from scratch to manipulate data
Familiarity with a P&L – whether for a bank or otherwise
A good grasp of the model development lifecycle and key principles
The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
Credit Cards or Loans product experience with knowledge of the profitability drivers
Experience using Python core Data Science libraries
Experience of Azure Data Science ecosystem for model development
