On behalf of an industry leader, I am seeking an experienced Power BI Specialist to design and build Power BI reporting solutions across multiple business functions, working closely with business users to understand their requirements in order to provision a reporting service & solutions that have huge potential to drive better decision making and insight.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data modeling, report development, and data visualisation/story telling, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective, user-friendly dashboards.
Responsibilities:
- Build impactful dashboards across multiple functional areas, influencing Back End design data models and working closely with Data Analysts, Data Engineers
- Perform deep analysis on complex cross-functional datasets to drive insight
- Champion business adoption of the Power BI reporting service across the customer base
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements for data reporting and visualisation dashboards
- Build reusable data models and data flows in Power BI that support ad-hoc reporting and self-service analytics
- Design and implement Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualisations using advanced DAX, Power Query, and M code
- Implement version control and deployment pipelines for Power BI reports and datasets using CI/CD methodologies
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI reports and underlying data models, ensuring high availability and reliability
- Implement Power BI security best practices, including row-level security (RLS), data governance policies, and role-based access controls.
- Provide training sessions/setup drop-in clinics.
Skills/Experience required:
- 4+ years of experience in designing and developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models
- Expert in PowerBI, including advanced DAX
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Azure, GCP or AWS experience
- Multi-functional business knowledge
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
