We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Business Change) to join a growing and ambitious insurance business delivering strategic business transformation initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven project professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, leading complex change programmes, and collaborating with stakeholders across both business and technology functions. You’ll play a key role in delivering projects that drive operational improvement, business growth, and enhanced customer outcomes.
Reporting to the Head of Change Delivery, you will take ownership of projects from initiation through to successful delivery, ensuring objectives are achieved on time, within scope, and on budget.
Responsibilities:
- Lead business change projects through the full project lifecycle, from business case development and requirements gathering through to implementation.
- Develop, maintain and manage detailed project plans, ensuring activities are clearly defined, owned and delivered.
- Identify, manage and mitigate project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID).
- Proactively identify opportunities for new projects and improvements that deliver business value.
- Collaborate with other project managers and stakeholders to manage cross-functional dependencies.
- Control project scope, budgets, timelines and forecasts, ensuring effective governance throughout.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication across project teams, sponsors and senior stakeholders.
- Manage project resources and coordinate support from internal teams and third-party suppliers.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and support effective change management to ensure successful adoption of project outcomes.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
Skills / Experience required:
- A hands-on Project Manager with proven experience delivering Business Change related projects (minimum 5 years).
- Experience within a regulated financial services envrionment (Insurance or banking preference).
- Experienced in working across multiple workstreams.
- Experience working across both business and technology environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile and iterative project delivery methodologies.
- Experience managing projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Experience working with outsourced and/or offshore technology delivery teams.
- Strong vendor and third-party supplier management experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong facilitation, presentation and influencing abilities.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A recognised Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, APM, PMP or equivalent).
