QA Automation Engineer

On behalf of a forward thinking and successful fintech, I am seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join their growing team and to be a part of the businesses continued focus on automation, integration and connectivity.
You will work as part of a full-stack product team of product people, designers, engineers, test engineers and subject matter experts to make their vision a reality.
The company can offer this role fully remote, however should you wish to be among others and be office/hybrid based you will need to be within a commutable distance of the City of London.
Responsibilities:
- Helping drive quality from conception to finished product
- Developing detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Applying and maintaining automated testing processes for our products
- Contributing to the growth of our regression packs and ensuring we maintain a high level of automated test coverage
- Identifying, reporting and working with team members to resolve issues found
- Contributing to architectural decisions from a testability perspective
- Tracking quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts
- Staying up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Experience/Skills required:
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience with Cypress
- Programming skills in JavaScript
- Strong SQL skills
- Hands-on experience with both white-box and black-box testing
- Whilst experience in the financial services industry is not essential to this role, it would be advantageous
- Good spoken and written English
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence
- A high degree of personal honesty and integrity
- Understanding of how to effectively prompt and utilize AI tools for test planning, documentation, and analysis.
