Spencer Rose are looking for a Senior BI Developer to join our client’s Data Services team. Our client is a global provider of market infrastructure. They provide access to global financial and commodities markets – improving price discovery, liquidity, and distribution of data, through responsible and innovative solutions. This role sits within the Data Services team which is comprised of three teams that work closely together. The BI department is a ‘Centre of Excellence’ providing data users with the tools and processes to analyse and view data in a controlled and sustainable way.
Senior BI Developer Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines/workflows, data transformation and aggregation, Business/Management dashboards and reports and data models to be used as part of solutions to internal and external customers
- Ensuring that data solutions are available and readily consumable by decision makers through reports
- Analysing complex data from multiple sources using APIs and SQL queries
- Working with stakeholders independently to understand the their BI/MI and data needs
- Analysing system data to identify data quality issues
- Working on diverse data projects across the business eg data visualisation, ETL development, business controls and regulatory reporting.
- Developing, implementing production support and tuning of the Business Intelligence reporting environments.
Senior BI Developer Skills and Experience:
- Data visualization tools such as Qlik or PowerBI
- Data processing and transformation tools such as Altery
- Implementation of Information and Business Management tools
- Cloud Infrastructure (AWS preferred)
- SQL- intermediate or advanced
- Proficiency working with APIs, inc. REST
