About Our Client: Our client is a renowned player in the insurance sector, committed to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to clients worldwide. With a dedicated team of 90 underwriters, they are at the forefront of driving business success through data-driven insights.
Role Overview: As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in empowering our underwriting team with robust data infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing ETL pipelines using SQL and Python. Leveraging the Azure Data Engineering stack, including Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Synapse Analytics, you will ensure our data processes are efficient, scalable, and reliable.
The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for:
- Design and develop ETL pipelines to support the data needs of our underwriting team
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions
- Utilize SQL and Python to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
- Architect and maintain data engineering solutions on the Azure platform, including ADF and Synapse
- Implement best practices for data quality assurance and monitoring
The Senior Data Engineer will have:
- Extensive experience in building ETL pipelines using SQL and Python
- Proficiency in working with the Azure Data Engineering stack, including ADF and Synapse
- Strong understanding of Datamodelling, database design, and data warehousing principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
