Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer
City of London (Hybrid)
£90,000 – £100,000 per annum
On behalf of an industry Leading organisation, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer to join their established team of Senior Engineers across the EMEA region.
The Infrastructure support team is responsible for supporting and maintaining all corporate IT services, ranging from desktop engineering through on premise and cloud virtualisation, storage and SAAS products, network connectivity as well as providing an escalation point for support.
Due to the organisation operating a hybrid work model, you must be within commutable distance of their City of London offices and willing to be office based at least 3 days per week and to work on a rota basis between the hours of 7am – 6pm.
Responsibilities:
- As Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining a subset of live services, including but not limited to:
- Scheduled checks
- Service improvements
- Escalations from other teams
- Planned and unplanned DR events
- Capacity management
- Liaising with third parties and the business to resolve issues.
- Additional/ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
Experience/Skills required:
- Previous and extensive experience in a Senior/Infrastructure Engineer capacity preferably within an enterprise environment.
- An extensive background in the following technologies: Windows Server (2012 and onwards), Exchange Server, VMWare ESXi & VCentre, Active Directory, Azure AD and Storage technologies (eg Pure/Primera).
- Drive and self-motivation, with the desire and commitment to succeed, take ownership, deliver excellence and make positive change.
- Strong Relationship building, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build rapport.
- Able to work well with others across diverse backgrounds to share information, develop skills, and deliver results.
- Resilience with the ability to persist and adapt.
- Smart problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a curious and inquisitive mind, and an openness to new ideas.
